A changing mole, persistent itching, recurrent acne, unexplained pigmentation or a rash that does not resolve may deserve medical evaluation. Identifying the cause is important because many skin conditions have different underlying reasons and therefore different treatments. A proper assessment helps ensure that you receive the right care at the right time.

A product that works beautifully for one person may cause irritation, breakouts, dryness or damage to the skin barrier in another.

Before introducing a new skincare product, take time to read its ingredients, understand its purpose and consider whether it is appropriate for your skin. Be particularly careful when combining multiple active ingredients.

My advice: More products do not necessarily mean better skincare. Choose carefully, keep your routine thoughtful, and seek medical advice when uncertain.
